A weight loss program for obese patients on hemodialysis: mission impossible?

The objective of this study was to verify the results obtained by combining flexible dialysis and an intensive weight loss program on a small group of obese or overweight patients on chronic dialysis.
This study revealed that customized dialysis programs allow patients on hemodialysis to follow intensive weight loss programs, under strict monitoring, with positive results, and without significant side effects.
