The first study was carried out on a group of 1,836 people to consider the response in terms of both weight and health, after following a 60-day Bioimis Nutritional Program eating recommended food to satiety based on the biochemical properties and data communicated daily by each individual.After a 60-day Program the following results were shown:

about 13 kg less in men with a maximum loss of 40 Kg and on average 10 kg less in women with a maximum loss of 24 Kg;

High blood pressure is one of the most common diseases in industrialised countries and it affects about 20% of the adult population. It is characterised by the steady presence of arterial blood pressure values above the norm, considering 140 mmHg as the systolic blood pressure target (also known as top number) and 90 mmHg as the diastolic blood pressure target (also known as bottom number).
High blood pressure can occur in two different forms: primary/essential hypertension, in which it is not possible to identify a cause, and secondary hypertension that tends to appear suddenly.
It is known that essential arterial hypertension is often part of a more complex picture of diseases and risk factors called metabolic syndrome, of which it constitutes a diagnostic criterion.
Considering what is reported in literature with respect to blood pressure improvements in individuals subject to a proper diet, we conducted an analysis of the data provided by our customers during the Bioimis Nutritional Program in order to highlight consistency with these observations.
The monitoring was conducted on all the clients who started the Bioimis Nutritional Program in 2015 while taking medication for hypertension.
We therefore examined 528 hypertensive patients, 162 of which were males (30.7%) and 366 of which were females (69.3%) and took into account how often they communicated any therapy modification and, if this did take place, whether it implied a dosage increase or reduction.
In this regard, it appears that from the initial sample, 114 clients claimed they had reduced their blood pressure medication in accordance with their physician (21.7%), (33.3% of which were males and 66.7% of which were females); among these, 43.5% reported they reduced the dosage within 30 days from the beginning of the program, 36.5% between the second and third month and 19% after the 90-day Program.
In addition, 115 clients (21.8%) said that they have completely eliminated the medication, (27.8% of which were males and 72.2% of which were females); among these 19% of our customers got rid of it within 30 days from the beginning of the Program, 53% between the second and third month and 28% after the 90-day Program.

Hepatic Steatosis, alias Fatty Liver, is a liver disease with different etiologies and it can be divided into alcoholic and non-alcoholic. In this second case, the root cause is given by excessive fat deposit (triglycerides) in the liver.
Evidence in literature has shown that the relationship between transaminases may lead to its alcoholic or non-alcoholic pathogenesis.
Furthermore, a hypothesis that is often indicated by nutrition experts against diets causing quick weight loss is that if weight loss is superior to 5 kg a month, they cause a confluence of fatty acids higher than the management capability of the organ. Excess acid fats will therefore be deposited in the liver, and lacking the means of being disposed, they will induce the appearance, or worsening, of steatosis.
For this purpose, we examined 1,067 customers, considering the values of AST and ALT in time on Day 0 and Day 60.
Even though no initial radiological diagnosis of steatosis was available and being unable to assess via ultrasound the situation of the liver in the two observation points, it can be concluded that the transaminases (i.e. the indicators of liver damage) averagely improved over time.
Moreover, the number of clients with potential NAFLD transaminases was reduced after 60 days' Program compared to the beginning, and this also works for those losing more than 10 kg in the first two months of the program.

Given that Bioimis allows a customised journey according to the type of diet our customers choose (e.g. omnivorous, vegetarian, no meat, no fish), for those who are omnivorous (thus eating both meat and fish) a study was carried out to demonstrate the safety in the consumption of animal protein.
Bioimis allows you to eat healthy and natural food to fullness, but above all calls out to follow a varied and balanced diet composed of carbohydrates, protein, fat and all the essential nutrients, according to the type of nutrition being followed by the individual.
So by virtue of the fact that in Bioimis there are no minimum quantities to be respected, if you eat very large doses of protein, your diet may become high-protein, but if you stick to normal portions it will result in a regular protein diet.
Carried out in collaboration with Dr. Gerardo Bosco, Department of Biomedical Sciences - Laboratory of Human Physiology - University of Padua, Italy, this research is designed to demonstrate that a possible intake of protein, higher than the dose required to achieve a state of satiety, will not damage your kidney.
Any recommended intake levels are reported in scientific literature only out of cautiousness. On the contrary, what gets reaffirmed several times in scientific papers are the negative effects that obesity and overweight cause to the whole organism.

Another important fact that emerged in these various studies is that weight loss evaluated by Body Composition measurements was not characterised by lean mass loss but rather a noteworthy percentage improvement took place at the expense of fat mass, which was significantly reduced.
More in detail, the study was carried out at A.O.U. Nephrology Department San Luigi Gonzaga in Orbassano (Turin, Italy), where they run an outpatient center exclusively for patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and a small dialysis unit.
The study involved both individuals with CKD and healthy people, who were then compared with people following other diets. For those individuals following Bioimis the results were very positive.
In addition to this, a comparison was made on the Handgrip measurements (evaluation of hand muscle contraction force): results showed no strength loss, but rather performance improvement. This is a further sign of the good preservation of muscle mass.

The study was accepted by and presented to the National Congress of the Italian Society of Nephrology held in Florence.
The observation on obese or overweight patients suffering from kidney disease has demonstrated the effectiveness of the Bioimis Program in reducing body weight and in improving some blood test parameters of the people taking part in the study.

The study verified the results achieved by combining dialysis with an intensive weight-loss program, such as Bioimis, in obese or overweight people undergoing dialysis.
From this study it was found that patients on hemodialysis, under constant check, can follow weight loss programs and achieve good results, with no side effects.

The study wanted to show that the reduction of sodium in the Bioimis Nutritional journey leads to a threshold effect in obese patients with chronic kidney disease and baseline proteinuria greater than 0.5 g / day.
This means that up to a certain value of urinary excretion of sodium, protein loss and sodium removal are independent, but below a certain threshold these two phenomena begin to influence each other.

In this study we tried to have patients undergoing daily dialysis follow the Bioimis Nutritional Program.
People lost weight rapidly and achieved improvements in terms of acidosis because their dietary habits changed in a healthier way after having eliminated all pre-packaged foods containing additives.
The reduction in the amount of salt during meals resulted in the lowering of blood pressure in hypertensive patients.

A report was presented to the first course of CME Diabesity Working Group ERA-EDTA, held in Tenerife; its purpose was to verify the results obtained from a group of patients with Chronic Kidney Disease who had chosen to follow the Bioimis Nutritional Program.
It proved significant reduction in weight and good proteinuria control without serious metabolic abnormalities, suggesting, therefore, that rapid weight loss is possible even in chronically obese or overweight patients.

A second report was presented to the first course of CME Diabesity Working Group ERA-EDTA held in Tenerife. Its purpose was to discuss the results obtained in obese or overweight patients suffering from glomerular proteinuria diseases with the use of two diets in sequence: an intense and short-term weight loss program followed by a low-protein and long-term diet.
Although still ongoing, this study suggests that a sequential combination of intense weight loss and a low-protein diet may be successful in the weight loss of these subjects, while still maintaining lean body mass and controlling hyper-filtration and proteinuria.

The study published in the Nutrients magazine shows the case of a patient suffering from chronic kidney disease at the fourth stage. After several attempts to lose weight, this patient found the solution thanks to the Bioimis program.
It should be noted that the patient could not undergo kidney transplantation because of his overweight. Despite that, he managed to enter the transplant list thanks to his optimised physical conditions achieved by participating in the Bioimis program.

The study was carried out by Dr. Luigi Teta during his Masters course in Nutrition Research Methodology at the University of Padua.
The results obtained were important in terms of weight loss and reduction of some cardiovascular risk indicators (body mass index, waist circumference); the patients also presented significant improvements in the hematochemical parameters normally used to monitor the progression of type 2 diabetes mellitus. In just two months, in fact, on average, patients presented a significant reduction in their fasting plasma glucose from 154 to 108 mg/dl and glycated haemoglobin from 57 to 45 mmol/mol.

The study was carried out by Dr. Lucrezia Zilio during her Masters course in Nutrition Research Methodology at the University of Padua.
The total sample, but also in detail the male and female samples, had a good weight loss in the first two months as well as a reduction in the BMI.
The results show that the lost kilos mostly correspond to the fat body mass, which has undergone a good reduction, while the lean body mass has been maintained and has even slightly increased.

The main objective of the analysis carried out by experts in statistics was to demonstrate the effectiveness of the Bioimis Nutritional Program, by initially using statistical techniques for evaluating data quality and by subsequently using methods for identifying groups of customers who have followed the nutritional program in question.
The two analyses adopted to evaluate the efficacy of the diet, proposed by Bioimis, show that 98% of the subjects recorded an average weight loss of 10.67 kg, with a maximum loss of 25 kg in the average Ideal Fit period of 74 days and only 2% had a negatively different behaviour from the average, as is usually found in every statistical phenomenon.
Note from the Research Center: failure to lose weight may be due to the subject’s particular conditions and situations as well as to factors that are external to the diet.
