Green tea is a concentration of valuable substances such as antioxidants, useful against aging of the body and in the prevention of cardiovascular disorders. Moreover, when taken with some regularity, green tea becomes a precious help for those on a diet.

How to obtain it

Unlike other teas, obtained by heating the leaves to the air and making them ferment in humid places, green tea leaves are treated with steam and then dried rapidly. In this way, the high concentrations of catechins and other polyphenols (active principles that determines the beneficial properties of this plant) do not go to waste.

Benefits and properties

According to numerous studies, green tea helps to reduce the incidence of ischemic strokes (21%) and heart attacks (28%).  In addition, green tea is beneficial in the prevention of hypertension, metabolic syndrome, sensitivity to insulin and obesity.

Tips for its preparation

To take full advantage of the properties of green tea, water infusion should not exceed 70-80°C, therefore do not bring it to a boil.

After allowing it to steep for three or four minutes, it is ready to sip, perhaps adding a slice of lemon. We recommend no more than two cups a day.
